Proving Size Doesn't Always Matter

Geek Out V2

Pulse DAC is the world’s most powerful 32/384 kHz + DSD128 desktop DAC and 3,000 mW headphone amplifier. With its form factor footprint, Pulse DAC pairs performance with convenience without compromise.

Instead of just barely getting the job done, it goes the extra mile to get the job done well. Very well. So well that there's no other DAC that can do what it does without having to pay three times the price.

We had a simple goal in mind when we set out to build the Pulse DAC- deliver as much of the performance of our flagship Da Vinci DAC as possible to more real-world price points.

There are three ways to use these flexible devices in your system:

1. As a stand-alone DAC- Select from any one of the five digital inputs (1 USB, 1 AES/EBU, 1 Coaxial, 1 TOSlink) and enjoy our implementation of the fabulous ESS9018K2M DAC.

2. As a Premium Headphone Amplifier- Use our proprietary hybrid analog/digital volume control, and connect your headphones to the front panel outputs (Balanced Headphones are supported on the Pulse X and Pulse Infinity).

3. As a full-function Digital Preamplifier- Connect the Pulse DAC directly to your power amplifier or powered speakers and enjoy the benefits of a world-class DAC without inserting an analog preamplifier in the signal path.

Add our LPS-4 Linear Power supply to any Pulse DAC model to further improve its performance.

Reviews

  • "Being a tube fan I sometimes struggle to find solid-state gear that I could live with. The Geek Pulse would easily make that short list. I also applaud the ESS Sabre 9018 implementation. It seems to be a tricky chip to wrestle into place. Mission accomplished for the LH Labs team!"
